Southside High School celebrated its 50th anniversary at a special banquet on Tuesday evening at Golden Living.

Chaffin Junior High students, Cara Shipley and Olivia Davis, were recently recognized as the InvestWrite essay contest winners for the 2012-2013 competitions.

After the Northside High School store received its 2013 Gold Level Certification from the School-Based Enterprise program in February, the Northside DECA team was invited to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference.

Beard Elementary School hosted special guests from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas at its annual "Leadership Day" on April 25.

Nine Woods Elementary School students recently placed at the Western Region Art Show.

School Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Service Center Auditorium, located in Building B of the Service Center Complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road. The meetings are open to the public.
