In the annual “Diplomas Count” study conducted by Education Week, Fort Smith Public Schools ranked first among large school districts in Arkansas for its high school graduation rate. With 81.7% of students graduating, Fort Smith’s ranking beat both the national and state average by ten points or more.

Fort Smith Public School District educators know that preparing students for college, for work and for life after graduation is key to future success.

KFSM TV-5 recently featured Darby Junior High School and its use of iPads in the classroom.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

School Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Service Center Auditorium, located in Building B of the Service Center Complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road. The meetings are open to the public.
