March is National Nutrition Month®, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics encourages everyone to "Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle" in 2015. To promote this year's theme, the Nutrition Committee of the Arkansas School Food Service Association along with the Arkansas Department of Education Child Nutrition Unit will sponsor a poster contest for students in Arkansas.
Awards for each state division winner will include a $50.00 cash prize and a trophy for the student. The student's teacher will receive $100.00 to be used for purchasing classroom art supplies. There is also a Senior Division winner selected and awarded a $300.00 scholarship and trophy.
Posters must display the theme of "Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle" and not show brand names. Submissions are due in the FSPS Child Nutrition Office by Monday, March 2. Guidelines are shown below.
