Today . . . and . . . in the Future
Fort Smith Public Schools will host a Community Summit to kick off its “Vision 2023” Strategic Planning initiative at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Building B of the Service Center complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road.
“The Summit allows the strategic planning process to be opened and shared with the community and all those both externally and internally in the school system,” said Dr. Kevin Castner, executive director of Cambridge Strategics.
The summit will give everyone the same information about the significance and importance of strategic planning and the potential for the lifting the school district to the next level, Castner added.
Along with sharing information about strategic planning, the facilitators will gather information from community members.
Earlier in the day on Aug. 3, Castner will lead two 25-minute breakout sessions at 10 and 10:30 a.m. during the FSPS Partners in Education Conference that begins at 8 a.m. Thursday at Chaffin Junior High, 3205 Massard Road.
