District Tops Digital Learning Awards List

Fort Smith Public Schools earned the number one ranking among mid-size school districts in the netTrekker Search Digital Learning Awards Program. The national program recognizes districts across the country that use digital resources to create engaging learning experiences, while promoting independent learning.

FSPS was first for the 2011-2012 school year among districts with enrollment ranging from 5,000 to 24,000 students. Winners were divided among three categories; Small-size districts (less than 5,000 student enrollment), mid-size; and large-size (25,000 and more). In the overall “Top 100 List,” FSPS ranked nineteenth.

The Digital Learning Awards Program honors school districts that effectively using digital resources to impact teaching and learning environments. Winning districts have employed netTrekker Search to deliver educator-vetted, standards-aligned digital resources to every student and teacher in their district.

School Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Service Center Auditorium, located in Building B of the Service Center Complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road. The meetings are open to the public.

Board of Education

School Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Service Center Auditorium, located in Building B of the Service Center Complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road. The meetings are open to the public.
