Partners in Education Award Winners Named

On May 30, the Fort Smith Public Schools Partners in Education Program hosted its annual Awards Luncheon. The yearly event recognized schools and Partners for their outstanding contributions to the District and its students. 

The following awards were presented:

Norma Shaffer Partnership of the Year-Elementary
OG&E and Cavanaugh Elementary School

Norma Shaffer Partnership of the Year-Secondary
Gerdau and Darby Junior High School

Parters in Education Whole Heart Awards
Ameriprise, FS Radiation Oncology, First Western Bank, International Paper and Morrison Elementary School

Richard Taylor for his work with Bonneville and Cavanaugh Elementary Schools

University of Arkansas-Fort Smith with Adult Education Center

Bud Jackson Teamwork Awards
Baldor, Bowling World, Eureka Pizza, Harps, HealthSouth, Liberty Bank, Noon Exchange Club, Beard PTA and Beard Elementary School

Benefit Bank, Euper Lane PTA and Euper Lane Elementary School

Cathy Williams Partner of the Year Award

School Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Service Center Auditorium, located in Building B of the Service Center Complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road. The meetings are open to the public.
