FSPS Publications Win NSPRA Awards

Three Fort Smith Public Schools' publications were recently recognized by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) as winners in its 2013 Publications and Electronic Media Contest.

The District's Annual Report to the Public 2012 was given the "Award of Merit" in its respective category. The report was named one of the top sixteen submissions in the competition.

Good Things are Happening in Fort Smith Public Schools (2012 edition), the District's annual magazine, received an "Award of Honorable Mention." It placed in the top nineteen in the magazine category.

The District's advertisement, Arkansas Scholars Earn the Medal, also received an "Award of Honorable Mention" in the Special Purpose Publication category. The ad, which showcases the District's Arkansas Scholars honors program, was one of only 84 entries recognized in that division.

FSPS's publications were among the nearly 900 entries in the 2013 contest. Entries were judged on excellence of graphic design and layout, as well as design, writing and content. A complete list of this year's winners is available on the NSPRA website
