Carter Named Arkansas Assistant Principal of the Year

The Arkansas Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP) has awarded Northside High School assistant principal Chris Carter with the 2014 AASSP Assistant Principal of the Year. Carter accepted the award in a surprise ceremony on Monday, January 6 at Northside.

The AASSP presents this award every year to a secondary level assistant principal that has met the selection criteria. These criteria are based on their personal excellence, their collaborative leadership, their curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and their personalization. Carter, along with other state Assistant Principals of the Year, will be honored at a Forum and Awards Gala in Washington, D.C., in April 2014. Those selected are also eligible as a candidate for the 2014 National Assistant Principal of the Year.

Having been Northside's assistant principal for eight years, Carter has built many positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Congratulations Mr. Carter!
