During the first week of school, Belle Point students collaborated to design lemonade stand businesses in order to learn how to overcome obstacles and work as a team.

Fifth-grade students at Trusty Elementary School experienced the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse a little differently than the average Fort Smith resident. They spent the day being citizen scientists for NASA.

Fort Smith Public Schools will host a Community Summit to kick off its “Vision 2023” Strategic Planning initiative at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Building B of the Service Center complex, 3205 Jenny Lind Road.

Fort Smith Public Schools will begin a pilot online registration process July 31, 2017, at Woods Elementary School. Both new and returning students to the school will be able to register online for the 2017-2018 school year by visiting www.fortsmithschools.org/woods/.
