Ballman Recognizes Faithful Volunteers

The following letter to the editor from the staff of Ballman Elementary recently appeared in the Times Record.

Dear Editor,

Ballman Elementary School is fortunate to have a core group of volunteers who are committed to helping our teachers and students succeed. These individuals selflessly give of themselves for the betterment of our school. During “Volunteer Week,” the Ballman faculty would like to recognize and thank our wonderful Ballman PTA board, PTA members and Partners in Education.

Ballman faculty would also like to honor all of the individuals who volunteer at the school each week. Suzanne Bethell, Carolyn Jenkins, Lori Gubbard and Kelly Smith work with students in Kindergarten through second grade. Mrs. Ruth Hanely listens to first and second grade children read every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesdays, Mrs. Pat Wicks comes to run copies and laminate materials for teachers. She has been volunteering at Ballman for more than 30 years.

We appreciate how each of these groups and individuals go “above and beyond.” They are more than volunteers, they are the backbone in terms of school support and community
involvement. Our school is forever
grateful for their continued support and labors of love. We appreciate them sharing their time and talents with us daily.

We can’t express our appreciation enough for all that these incredible individuals do for our school. Thank you so much!

Sincerely,
Ballman Elementary School Faculty
