Welcome to Beard Elementary School!

At Beard Elementary, we are focusing on creating student leaders.  Leaders that are accountable and responsible for their own academics and behavior success.  We are helping our students obtain these skills by teaching the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  Each student will be taught the 7 habits but the ultimate goal is that the 7 Habits become the way each of us live our daily life at school and at home.

My professional philosophy includes the belief that education experiences should challenge students to perform beyond what they previously believed possible. These challenges, opportunities and subsequent successes will define Beard Elementary as a positive influence in the lives of the students who pass through these doors.  Beard Elementary is a school that has set high expectations for all students.  Beard takes pride in providing a quality education. At Beard we will focus on doing what is in the best interest of every child. Every student is fortunate to work with a staff that is dedicated and truly interested in the students that attend Beard.  As building administrator, I believe in focusing on each and every child, each and every day.

Beard Elementary School hosted special guests from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas at its annual "Leadership Day" on April 25.

Beard Elementary earned the prestigious honor of being named a "Lighthouse School" by Franklin Covey's Leader in Me program.
 

Representative George McGill Visits Beard Elementary

Beard Elementary welcomed Representative George McGill to our Rise N Shine assembly on Friday, April 26th.  His visit was prompted by Zachary Wilson, one of our fifth grade students, calling Mr. McGill after a visit to the capitol.  Representative McGill presented a citation plaque commending Beard for being recognized as the 35th Lighthouse School in the world through the Leader in Me program.  Additionally, Mr. McGill gave Zachary Wilson a plaque commended his leadership example for his peers and community.
