BAG, the first three notes just happen to be B, A, G. The Rockin' Recorder Club is an exciting and fun way to learn about the FUNdamentals of music. We meet every Wednesday and Friday before school. Any student in third grade or above can participate. Students will hone in on their music skills by playing recorder inspired arcade games, echo exercises and competing in Recorder Karate. Special times are available after school on Thursdays for Recorder Karate testing.

Fairview Elementary School students recently hosted Coin Wars to help raise money for the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation.The total amount raised in just one week was $1172.46. Grade levels competed against each other and the first place winner was second grade. In second place was third grade and in third place was first grade. Teachers will continue for the next two weeks to add to that total by having a "Jean Day" Friday.

Thank you to all the fathers and families that attended the Donuts for Dads breakfast and Strong Fathers presentation. Teachers and students enjoyed having these men visit their classrooms and share in the morning routines of their children.

 

The Young Actors Guild presented Uncle Pirate to the students and staff of Fairview. Thank you to all the wonderfully, talented students who spent time entertaining us!
