We will not have classes the week of Thanksgiving.  Our teachers will be participating in professional development on Monday and Tuesday.  Happy Thanksgiving! Classes will resume on Monday, November 28.

The student of the month for November is Bobbie Strawhacker.  Bobbie, a parent of two children, resides in Greenwood with her husband, Thomas.  She has been studying diligently in pursuit of obtaining a GED.  As a result of her dedication and perseverance, she has completed four of the five tests needed to accomplish her goal and will take her final test in the very near future.  Bobbie is dedicated to the point that it is not uncommon to see her studying at the adult education center mornings and evenings.  While studying consumes much of her time, she values family time and enjoys engaging in activities such as attending movies, hiking, traveling, and camping.

Regarding future plans, Bobbie is primarily concerned with the present and is concentrating first and foremost on obtaining her GED.  In addition to the GED, she has also been working simultaneously on obtaining the Career Readiness Certificate.  After Bobbie completes her present goals at the adult education center, attending college is a future possibility.  Regardless of the direction Bobbie decides to go, she has the determination, dedication, and perseverance needed to make her successful in whatever she chooses.  Good job and good luck, Bobbie.
