American Enterprise and Entrepreneurs

Northside and Southside High School students are participating in a range of activities designed to teach high school students the varied concepts of the American Enterprise system and entrepreneurship. In November, Northside students, their teachers and business leader gathered for a day-long conference on American Enterprise. They surveyed human resources issues, marketing and business planning. In December, these students and Southside students had the opportunity to present original business plans to teams of community bankers and business representatives. The teams reviewed the student plans and loaned students the capital necessary for the ventures. (below) Michelle Hall speaks with Northside High School students during their American Enterprise Day activities. Southside High School students present their business plan to the loan team.
