Sophomores

Are you wondering.......when should I take the ACT?

As a high school sophomore, there are many reasons why taking the ACT may be good for you.

  • As you plan your courses for the rest of high school, you may want to take one of the many concurrent credit courses offered by the Fort Smith Public Schools.  One of the qualifications for concurrent courses is to have an ACT score of 19 or higher.
  • You may also be interested in taking classes at UAFS through the WATC program.  Several of the WATC programs require a minimum ACT score.
  • Taking the ACT as a sophomore will help you gain experience in taking the test.  Continued experience taking the test often allows students to raise their scores.
