Keri Rathbun, Ed.D. - Principal
Keri Rathbun, Northside High School Principal, wants every student to have a plan for graduation and beyond. As a former counselor, Dr. Rathbun believes that high school should be a time for students to discover their strengths and find opportunities to help prepare them for college or career. Dr. Rathbun comes to Northside after spending the past six years as assistant principal and principal of Kimmons Junior High. She has been a counselor at Northside, Kimmons and Sunnymede Elementary. Rathbun graduated from Pocola High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in music education. She has a master’s, educational specialists and Doctorate degree in School Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.
Brad Ray - Assistant Principal
Brad Ray, Northside High School Assistant Principal, believes that “a career in education gives one the opportunity to touch thousands of lives and to ensure a positive legacy.” Ray came to FSPS in 2010, serving as the Director of the Belle Point Alternative Center before assuming his role at Northside in 2013. Prior to working for the District, he spent 12 years in the Plano, Texas Independent School District and in Arkansas at Danville, Alma, and Cedarville Public School Districts. Ray graduated from Fort Smith’s Southside High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Education. He has his Master’s in Education from Arkansas Tech University and is currently working on his educational specialist degree. Ray is a member of ASCD and AAEA.
Jennifer Steele -Assistant Principal
Jennifer Steele, Northside High School Assistant Principal, believes that “the best way to predict your future is to create it," and that educators have the distinct privilege and responsibility to provide students with the tools necessary to experience success in their workplaces, their families, and their communities. Steele began her educational career in the Mansfield Public Schools and has been with the Fort Smith Public Schools since 1995. Prior to her 2013 appointment at Northside, she served as Director of Bands at Chaffin Junior High. Steele graduated from Paragould High School and received her BME at Georgia Southern University and her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She completed her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University in the Spring of 2017.
Christopher Davis- Assistant Principal
Mr. Davis is a Northside graduate and has been a band director in the Mountain Home Public Schools. He is currently serving as assistant principal at Huntsville High School. Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Arkansas Tech University. He also holds Master of Science and Educational Specialist degrees from Arkansas State University.
Tony Jones- Assistant Principal
Tony Jones returned to Northside High School as an Assistant Principal in 2016. Mr. Jones began his teaching career at Northside as a social studies teacher and basketball coach. He then went to Kimmons Junior High, where he served as Assistant Principal. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky and a Master of Education Degree from Arkansas Tech University. He completed his Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program there.
