****Students, are you planning to get a flu shot??  Please remember you must turn in the TWO forms you received from your first period teacher to receive your flu shot November 7th. The forms are due TODAY to your first period teacher or the Nurse or they can be turned in tonight at Parent / Teacher Conference where you pick up your report cards.

****Do you love popcorn? Well, sophomore council is selling the best popcorn in town from the Popped Popcorn Company. Pre-order your bags today during A or B lunch outside the cafeteria.  Small bags are $2.25 and Large bags are $6.25.

****Seniors, we want to celebrate you and your plans for the future. Please bring your acceptance letters by Room 104 so we can take your picture and get your poster for the hallway made. We will take your college, military or trade school acceptance letters. The first poster is free if you change your plans and want a new poster the cost will be $10.

****Attention First Period Teachers and Students:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organizations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education, and research.

Students, there will be a canister in your first period class to donate towards breast cancer research. Please donate any money you can to support the cause. Please help fund the cure. The 1st period class that raises the most money will have a donut party. Thank you for YOUR support.

****ATTENTION SENIORS:  We are taking a LIMITED group of seniors with good attendance and a minimum of 2.5 GPA to the Transition Expo.

Transition Expo is the LARGEST education, training, & career placement event in Arkansas! It showcases Arkansas' current and future talent pool to dynamic colleges, universities, career education providers, employers, & service organizations throughout the nation. Students are invited to connect with thousands come this November.  If you want to attend on November 14, sign up in the Counselors' office and get a permission slip.   For more questions, see Mrs. Ray in the Counselors' office.

****International Club is now collecting bags of individually wrapped candy to make gift bags for the kids in the hospitals.  We would also like to add a small stuffed animal or gift with the candy bag.  We are asking to avoid candies with peanuts due to allergies.  Please bring to Room 208.

****Attention all students!

The Reflections contest sponsored by our PTSA has kicked off! We invite any student who would like to submit an entry for dance, film production, literature, music, photography, or art. The theme this year is "Within Reach" and your work has to be related to that. Please see Ms. Vicens for more information!! We would like to have as many participants as possible! 

****We have NOT 1 but TWO BIG events coming up back to back. The haunted house takes over NHS on Friday evening from 4-5:30 on October 27th with many clubs like senior council, YBL, and DECA taking part to make you have a scary great time. Also, November 2nd is the BONFIRE TO ROAST THE MAVERICKS. The bonfire is free and the Haunted house is $2.00.
