Orr Elementary School

Greetings from the Principal:

Welcome to Orr Elementary.  As the Principal of Orr Elementary, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with students, parents, teachers, and community members, as we continue to educate our children and prepare them to lead successful lives.  We want to provide a foundation that will allow the school, home, and community to work together for the total education of our students.  In this demanding world, the path to education should allow a student to discover his or her strengths and weaknesses and benefit from the finest teaching and most current resources available.

Please join us this year as we develop a common responsibility toward the education of our children.  We will strive to develop a variety of practical skills, critical and creative thinking, and positive relationships with each other.  We will promote a sense of ownership in a school that will allow our children to reach their potential in education and values.

Pat Cagle, Principal

Orr Elementary will provide a positive learning environment that builds a
foundation for the development of the whole student.

While working collaboratively with families and community, we provide an environment that allows for students to become empowered and achieve success.  Through our support of enrichment, intervention, and remediation, every student will be given the opportunity to become life-long learners.

We would like to welcome our new staff members: Laurie Burnett-4th grade teacher  Kimberly Gillman-pre-school teacher   Susan Etkorn-GATE teacher                                                    Nicole Franklin-Literacy Facilitator              Ponni Murali-ELL instructor           Trisha Shepherd-Interventionist
