The elementary science efforts, initiatives, and programs are focused on nurturing student growth in the area of science, while also ensuring that quality instruction is offered in the grade level skills specified in the Arkansas Department of Education Science Frameworks. Elementary science efforts target inquiry-based science while emphasizing integration of math and literacy skills. The Science Instructional Facilitator supports teachers in identifying and implementing research-based, best practices through professional development, research, modeling, and collaborative work.
