Celebrations

Fairview will have a Chuck-E-Cheese Night on October 23rd from 4-9 p.m.  Part of the proceeds that evening will come back to our school.  This would be a great treat after Parent-Teacher Conferences.

October 28th, Our PTA will sponsor “The Great Pumpkin Party” from 6:00 to 7:30.  This is a family night activity and we would love to see everyone there.  Please plan to join us Tuesday, October 28th.

The next Awards Assembly will be held on October 31st at 2:15 p.m.

SEPTEMBER GOOD CITIZENS ASSEMBLY

Each month, one student from each classroom is selected as a “Good Citizen”.  In order to be a good citizen, students must exhibit good character, behavior, and a positive work ethic.

Our good citizens for the month of September are:
Kristin Below, Chelsey Beltrami, Nicole Bowler, Riley Cash, Viviana Delgado, Sebastian Garcia, Paige Garner, Joshua Hardwick, Brock Harper, Brooklyn Howard, Marshall Hunter, Sierra Lauderdale, Braden Lewis, Makenzie Maddox, Madison McGhee, Payden Morlan, Annie Nelligan, Elissa Oliver, Paloma Picaso, Ivan Ramirez, Kenna Rhodes, Tony Rogers, Dylan Roper, Madison Shrum, Danny Solano, Sandra Stanley, Emily Trinh, Aryelle Tuttle, and Esther Victoriano.

Art, Music, PE, and Library also recognized classes that excelled in their specialty areas:

ART:
Golden Paintbrush: Ramsey 3rd grade
Palette: Cohen 6th grade
Music: Recorder Karate Recipients

PE: Lower grade Medal: Nevin- 2nd grade
Upper grade Medal: Goode – 5th grade

Library: Booker T. Worm Award: Nevin-2nd grade
The Booker Award: Raible-4th grade

OPEN HOUSE
Fairview held Open House on Tuesday, September 09, 2008.
Mrs. Walter recognized students who scored Proficient and Advanced on the Spring 2008 Benchmark Exams and shared information about the school with parents at our PTA meeting.  Parents then visited classrooms and spoke with teachers.



PICNIC
Our back to school picnic was a great success.  What a way to start the year off.  We hope that your child/children are enjoying their new classes this school year.
