Clubs & Organizations:

 Art Club:
Purpose- To promote quality art extracurricular programs.
Membership Requirements- Current enrollment in Art at Northside or have had an art class at Northside.

Bleacher Creatures:
Purpose- To promote school spirit and paint run-through signs and fence signs for athletic events.
Membership Requirements- Must purchase t-shirt and help with sign painting.

Cheerleaders:
Purpose- To promote school spirit through positive leadership during athletic events. To represent Northside High School through community activities.
Membership Requirements- Meet all Arkansas Activities Association eligibility requirements. Be selected through a tryout procedure.

Cultural Ambassadors:
Purpose- To promote and educate others about the many cultures at Northside.
Membership Requirements- Be willing to share the culture with elementary students and adult groups.

Distributative Education Clubs of America (DECA):
Purpose-To promote leadership skills and increase awareness of our free enterprise system.
Membership Requirements- Interest in business and/or enrollment in a Marketing course.

Don Quixote:
Purpose-To promote the study of Spanish and to promote rapport among students of Spanish.
Membership Requirements- Must have been/or be studying Spanish at Northside.

Drama Club:
Purpose- To produce plays; to promote the love of drama.
Membership Requirements- $10 yearly fee; attendance at 4 meetings: participation in at least 2 plays.

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America
Purpose-To promote personal growth and leadership development, focusing on relationships, careers, and community service.
Membership Requirements-Enrolled or previously enrolled in Family & Consumer Science courses.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA):
Purpose-To promote Christian principles, apply Christian life to athletics.
Membership Requirements- Everyone is welcome.

French Club:
Purpose-To promote the study and enjoyment of the French language and culture.
Membership Requirements-Currently or formerly enrolled in French class.

French National Honor Society:
Purpose-To promote and honor skill in the French class.
Membership Requirements-3.0 GPA, 3.5 in French, membership in French Club

Future Business Leaders of America:
Purpose-To promote Business Education and to develop vocational and career opportunities.
Membership Requirements-$9.00 membership fee must go to state and national.

German Club:
Purpose-To promote an interest in the German Language and culture. Members arrange activities for German students who come to Northside from our partner school in Bad Aibling, Germany.
Membership Requirements-Anyone interested in German/Germany

German National Honor Society:
Purpose-To recognize excellence in the study of German.
Membership Requirements-3.6 GPA for 3 semesters of German; 3.0 overall GPA

Grizzly Pride:
Purpose-To promote a positive life style. Pride members are involved with Red Ribbon Week, Leadership Workshops, Anti-Smoking Programs, High School Heroes, Special Olympics and several other projects during the year. Pride motto "A positive place for positive people" is the guiding principle for all Grizzly Pride activities.
Membership Requirements-Agree to a positive life-style and to be role models for peers and younger students. No dues and a minimum of fund raising activities.

International Club:
Purpose-To encourage appreciation and understanding of all cultures and to create opportunities for the educational and vocational advancement of members.
Membership Requirements-Must attend one meeting prior to the initiation meeting and must attend the initiation meeting.

JROTC Explorer Post 601:
Purpose-To provide JROTC Cadets opportunities for outdoor training and community service.
Membership Requirements-Be a member of JROTC in good standing, join the Boy Scout Venture program, and follow rules of both organizations.
JROTC Honor Society:
Purpose-To provide above average JROTC students with opportunities for service projects that require long term planning.
Membership Requirements-Be enrolled in JROTC, maintain a 3.0 GPA and be in good standing in JROTC.

Junior Council:
Purpose-To support school activities and raise money for the senior prom and banquet.
Membership Requirements-Open to all Juniors

Key Club:
Purpose-To promote community service as well as the development of leadership skills.
Membership Requirements-Willingness to pledge 50 hours of community service.

Latin Club:
Purpose-To promote the study of Latin and appreciation of the Roman civilization.
Membership Requirements-Interest in Latin.

Mu Alpha Theta:
Purpose-To promote enjoyment and understanding of math
Membership Requirements-3.0 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II(1 semester).

National Honor Society:
Purpose-To honor and recognize educational excellence. Support school activities; and community volunteer projects.
Membership Requirements-Must have maintained a 3.5 GPA since 9th grade and exhibit the qualities of Service, Leadership, Scholarship, and Character.

NorthSTAR:
Purpose-Extend opportunity to Explore new software, hardware, and operating systems.
Membership Requirements-Member of NorthSTAR class.

N'Steppers:
Purpose-To promote school spirit and represent Northside.
Membership Requirements-Meet all Arkansas Activities Association legibility requirements. Tryout 9,10,11 grades.

Partners in Christ:
Purpose-To promote Christian Fellowship.
Membership Requirements-Open to all students.

Quill and Scroll:
Purpose-Quill and Scroll is an International Honor Society that recognizes superior work in high school journalism.
Membership Requirements-Must be in the upper one-third of their class; must do superior work in journalism; and must be recommended by the sponsor.

Quiz Bowl:
Purpose-To promote learning , team work, study skills, and competition on the state and national level in games that involve quick recall of information.
Membership Requirements-Interest in academic competition; tryouts are held at the beginning of the school year

Senior Council:
Purpose-Fundraising for Senior class communication line between students and administration.
Membership Requirements-Senior in good standing. Must attend meetings regularly  and participate in all fundraisers.

Skills USA:
Purpose-SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled work force by preparing students for careers in technical, skilled, and service occupations.
Membership Requirements-Must be enrolled in Construction Technology or Woodworking courses.

Socicdad Honoraria Hispanica:
Purpose-To honor students of Spanish who are a member of the Spanish Club and who have maintained a 3.5 GPA in Spanish.
Membership Requirements-Must have studied Spanish for 3 semesters. Must have a 3.5 GPA in Spanish and be a member of the Northside Spanish Club.

Sophomore Council:
Purpose-To raise money for senior year activities. To provide fellowship and a forum for members of the sophomore class.
Membership Requirements-Member of the sophomore class and attend meetings.

STAT:
Purpose-To promote school spirit, academic competence and self esteem through school activities, community involvement and accessing educational opportunities.
Membership Requirements-Open to all students.

Student Council:
Purpose-To promote and support all functions at Northside.
Membership Requirements-Elected to serve from class

Teachers of Tomorrow:
Purpose-To encourage students to explore the idea of becoming teachers and to support the educators of Northside.
Membership Requirements-Must pay dues and attend the majority of the meetings in order to participate in job shadowing.

WWet:
Purpose-To support environmental issues and keep Northside students environmentally alert.
Membership Requirements-Must have a love for the earth.
