FAST FACTS

2007-08 Enrollment
As of October 1, 2007, Orr Elementary School
had 384 students enrolled in PreK-6 grades.

Orr Elementary School opened its doors in September, 1963. The school was named in honor of a local businessman, Raymond F. Orr, who had previously served on the School Board and held the office of School Board President. He owned a business that was located near the site of the present school. His contributions to the area and its citizens are numerous. A trust fund established by his family to benefit the school generates funds to provide additional books for the school media center dedicated to his memory. Mr. Orr's portrait, a gift from the family, hangs in the front entrance hall of the school. Its presence is used to educate our students about the history of Orr and serves a reminder of the importance of service to one's community.

This School is accredited by the North Central Association and the Arkansas Department of Education.
