Parker Center - The Learning Institute

The Learning Institute
The Learning Institute (TLI) is an organization based in Hot Springs, Arkansas that helps districts use data to establish processes in order to improve student achievement and design formative assessments. These assessments measure the growth of students toward a long-term objective. In so doing, these assessments have allowed us to create a scope and sequence for current curriculum, discover holes in this curriculum, designate areas where supplementation is required, identify appropriate supplementary materials and methods, and adjust instructional plan and curriculum processes.

The TLI assessments are given in elementary and secondary math and literacy several times over the course of an academic year. Literacy and math coordinators use the data collected by these assessments to analyze district trends and assist schools with individual needs.
