Quick Facts:

  • National Middle School Science Bowl is a quiz bowl-style competition for 6th-8th grade students focusing on high level mathematics and science questions.
  • Questions are asked in a toss-up/bonus format.
  • A team consists of five players.
  • The Arkansas Regional Science Bowl is limited to the first 16 teams to register by February 17, 2006. Registration fees are $20.00 per team.
  • The coaches’ meeting will be held at Southside High School, Room 128, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 18th. This meeting is mandatory. The hydrogen fuel cell car kits will be given at this time.
  • The competition is in two parts: the academic question portion and a hydrogen fuel cell car race.
  • The winner of the Arkansas Regional receives an all-expense paid trip to Denver, Colorado, to compete in the national contest.

    1. Go to the official link.
    2. Click on Regional Registration Form.
    3. Create a user ID and password for yourself.
    4. Follow the instructions and enter your team information (Players do not need to be entered until March 21).
    5. Send an email to Josh Adams (jadams@fortsmithschools.org) or Shelly Loewen (sloewen@fortsmithschools.org) and let us know that you have registered!
