Greetings From The Principal
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Sunnymede Elementary! Our theme this year is, “Our future’s so bright, I got to wear shades!”
The staff at Sunnymede strives each day to help every young man and young lady be the best they can be. A sound education will aid students in achieving the goals they have set for themselves in the future. As life-long learners, our teachers continuously seek new learning opportunities to aid in meeting the needs of our diverse student population. We believe it is our responsibility to instill a love of learning. Our teachers facilitate the learning process via high yield strategies, higher order thinking skills, and engaging activities with technology tools that promote excitement among our students.
Construction has begun on our new addition of kindergarten and first grade classrooms, kitchen, cafeteria, and support staff space. We will post construction updates on our website regularly.
At Sunnymede, our teachers and staff value the partnerships we have built with our Partners in Education, our community, our students and their families. We look forward to a wonderful 2011-2012 school year!

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2011-2012 en la Escuela Primaria Sunnymede! Nuestro lema este año es, "Nuestro futuro es tan brillante, tengo que usar gafas de sol!"
El personal de Sunnymede se esfuerza cada día para ayudar a cada joven a ser lo mejor que pueden ser. Una sólida educación ayudará a los estudiantes en el logro de los objetivos que se han puesto en el futuro por sí mismos. Como estudiantes de toda la vida, nuestros maestros buscan continuamente nuevas oportunidades de aprendizaje para ayudar a satisfacer las necesidades de nuestra población estudiantil diversa. Creemos que es nuestra responsabilidad para inculcar un amor por el aprendizaje. Nuestros maestros facilitan el proceso de aprendizaje a través de estrategias de alto rendimiento, habilidades de pensamiento de orden superiores y realizando actividades con herramientas tecnológicas que promueven el entusiasmo entre los estudiantes.
