Trusty Elementary School

Greetings from the Principal:

Welcome to our site!

Trusty has a long history, beginning in 1890 on the corner of Sixth Street and Mussett Avenue. The current building was completed in 1928 after a fire in the previous structure. Trusty's graduates include bank presidents, business owners, governmental officials and many others.

Exciting things are happening this year at Trusty! Our new theme is T.E.A.M. for our new mission:

Teaching

Every student

Academically, socially, and emotionally,

Meeting their needs daily

Our vision is to encourage all students to be "PAWS"itive students:

Positive behavior,

Academic achievement,

Working hard,

Social success.

We recognize a variety of students each day during "Tiger Pride Time", our brief time to focus ourselves on the work for the day, and showcase students that are meeting our expectations. We hope that parents will join us during this time to encourage our students. Any positive ideas that can assist us in meeting the needs of our students are welcomed!

Sincerely,

Dr. Shantelle Edwards, Principal
