Students are considered tardy at 8:05 a.m.

School dismisses at 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and ends promptly at 7:55 a.m.
Breakfast is free for all students.

Lunch is served at the following times:
Lunch Period 1 - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades 2 and 3 

Lunch Period 2 - 11:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Grades 6, Pre-K, and McCabe

Lunch Period 3 - 12:05 p.m. - 1:05 p.m.
Grades Kindergarten and 1

Lunch Period 4 - 12:40 p.m.-1:40
Grades 4 and 5

Lunch is $2.25 per day for students, $3.50 for adults, and $3.75 for guests.

Wake Up Woods is every Friday morning in the cafeteria- parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

PTA Meeting Minutes

October, 2014 Meeting Minutes
PTA October 9, 2014          

The Woods Elementary PTA meeting was held Thursday, October 9th at 2:00 in the cafeteria.  President Darcy Wollscheid called the meeting to order and Morgan York led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Davina Roper presented the September minutes and they were approved as printed. 

Katie Smith went over the budget.  We have $25,000.  We recently received a $1000 grant from Walmart.              

Committees:  

Box Tops:  no report     

Fall Fundraiser:    We made approximately $14,000 from cookie dough sales.  We are waiting to hear the date which they will arrive.  The Mad Scientist will visit on Halloween and there will be two assemblies, K-2 and 3-6.

Hospitality:  Get ready to sign up to bring pies for teachers for Thanksgiving. 

Membership: Currently we are at 305 members.

Tailgate Party:  It went very well and we came in under budget. 

Trunk or Treat:  It will be October 24th.  We will encourage homeroom moms to have trunks.  We will need candy donations.  There will be a best trunk contest and we need ideas for a prize.  

Spirit Nights:  Spirit night is October 23rd at Goody’s from 3-7.     

Skate Night:   We made $99 last month. 

Patriot of the Month:  Next one is October 30th.

Walk on the Wild Side Fundraiser:  We discussed whether to do it or not since there are other fundraisers this month.  We all agreed to continue since
this will be our last PTA fundraiser of the year.  It will be October 30th from 2-3pm
and a flyer will go out soon.     

Yearbook:  Don’t forget to order.  The dedication deadline will be soon.  Please remember to take pictures at events and upload them on Replayit.com or download the app.

Spirit Week:  It will be the week of Halloween.  Monday- PJ day, Tuesday- Superhero/Disney day, Wednesday- Decade/retro day, Thursday- Wildside style/camo Day, Friday- Orange/black day.

Movie Night- December 5th.  We will show Polar Express and serve hot chocolate. 

New Business: 
Please turn in volunteers that you do after 3 p.m. i.e. Tailgate party, Trunk or Treat, etc.   You can email them to Janelle Farris at danner09@att.net

Important dates:

·       Kindergarten Circus – October 14th at 6:30

·       No school – Professional development, October 17th

·       Trunk or Treat – October 24th at 6:00

·       Spirit Week – October 27th to 31st

·       Walk on the Wild Side – October 30th

·       Mad Scientist – October 31st 1:00 and 2:00

The meeting was adjourned at 2:50.
