Students are considered tardy at 8:05 a.m.

School dismisses at 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and ends promptly at 7:55 a.m.
Breakfast is free for all students.

Lunch is served at the following times:
Lunch Period 1 - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades 2 and 3 

Lunch Period 2 - 11:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Grades 6, Pre-K, and McCabe

Lunch Period 3 - 12:05 p.m. - 1:05 p.m.
Grades Kindergarten and 1

Lunch Period 4 - 12:40 p.m.-1:40
Grades 4 and 5

Lunch is $2.25 per day for students, $3.50 for adults, and $3.75 for guests.

Wake Up Woods is every Friday morning in the cafeteria- parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

PTA Meeting Minutes

December, 2015 Meeting Minutes

PTA December 10, 2015

The Woods Elementary PTA meeting was held Thursday, December 10th at 2:00 in the cafeteria.  President Corrine Adams called the meeting to order and Penney Davis led
the Pledge of Allegiance.  Kelly Jacimore presented the November minutes and they were approved as printed.  Quyen Scott went over the budget. 

Christmas Parties:  Vanessa Smitherman has distributed all money to room moms for December 17th parties.

Founder’s Day:  The committee will be Darcy Wollscheid and Stacey Stites to plan the February celebration for a theme of Through the Ages/40 Years.  Three lifetime memberships will be given out for one parent and two teachers.

Nominating Committee:  A committee will be organized to nominate the 2016-2017 PTA board.  Mrs. Howald will represent the teachers.

Box Tops:  Corrine Adams will announce at Wake up Woods assembly to turn in Box Tops.  A popcorn incentive party will be planned for the class that turns in the most box tops.

Yearbook:  Darcy Wollscheid and Janelle Farris have asked that all dedication ads be turned in before Christmas break.  They have shared that yearbooks will be $20 until December 17th.  After Christmas break, the cost will increase.  103 yearbooks have been sold.

Fundraising:  Quyen Scott will contact a company to set up candy bar fundraiser for February 5th kick off sales.  Sonic cards are also an idea to help pick up the costs of extra things for the year to be funded such as projects submitted by the teachers.  Spring semester would be the time for Sonic card fundraising.

New Business:
Make sure that copies distributed to the student body are approved by Mrs. Schwartz.

A motion was approved for PTA to fund stability balls/Frisbees for Mrs. Howald’s fourth grade class.
