Students are considered tardy at 8:05 a.m.

School dismisses at 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and ends promptly at 7:55 a.m.
Breakfast is free for all students.

Lunch is served at the following times:
Lunch Period 1 - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades 2 and 3 

Lunch Period 2 - 11:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Grades 6, Pre-K, and McCabe

Lunch Period 3 - 12:05 p.m. - 1:05 p.m.
Grades Kindergarten and 1

Lunch Period 4 - 12:40 p.m.-1:40
Grades 4 and 5

Lunch is $2.25 per day for students, $3.50 for adults, and $3.75 for guests.

Wake Up Woods is every Friday morning in the cafeteria- parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

PTA Meeting Minutes

March 2016 Meeting Minutes

PTA March 10, 2016
The Woods Elementary PTA meeting was held Thursday, March 10th at 2:00 in the cafeteria.  President Corrine Adams called the meeting to order and Penney Davis led the Pledge of Allegiance.  Kelly Jacimore presented the January minutes due to no meeting in February.  The minutes were approved as printed.  Quyen Scott discussed the Treasurer report- We are needing to pay $6,000 towards our loan.

Earth Day:
Corrine Adams and Davina Roper are making plans for the week:  possibly wear green, sale Earth Day shirts, poster contest, plant tree, or speaker to share topics.  Weekly theme will be:  Cultivating Excellence for 40 years.

Patriot of the Month:
Jennifer Atchley is working on recognizing the lunch ladies’ staff next Friday the 18th in addition to the students. Custodians will possibly be awarded in April.

Candy Bar Fundraiser:
Quyen Scott shared 255 boxes have been sold, PTA needs 60 more to be sold, and incentives will be shown at Wake Up Woods assembly. 
Nacho Night:
Elizabeth Thames needs volunteers for Tuesday 15th during conference week.

6th Grade Party:
Darcy Wollscheid and Janelle have made plans to:

9:00-11:30 Crystal Palace
11:30-2:30 AMP (Eastside Baptist church) for pizza, drinks and snacks, and fun

and Janelle said delivery date will be April 30th, 188 sold, and extras
will available for sale in May.

Box Tops:
Corrine said in April/May, Woods should receive a check. 

6th Grade Dinner:
Corrine and Georgia Castling have planned the dinner for Tuesday, May 17th with a theme decided by students’ vote.

To be held April 29th.  PTA is brainstorming new games, what game supplies need to be gathered/ordered and a list of concessions ideas.  Homeroom moms will need to help coordinate volunteer game times along with the help of Chaffin, Northside and Southside.

Field Day will be held Tuesday, May 24th. 

New Business:
Mrs. Schwartz shared the school is in need of a copier.  The school district will pay half.  Would PTA be able to match the amount?
