The Department of Student Achievement and Accountability supports the Fort Smith Public Schools mission statement. We strive to ensure that ALL students have an equitable opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging academic standards.
The District-created content maps and pacing guides in the areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies are developed and reviewed as needed, through a collaborative effort with district stakeholders (teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community members). The “roadmaps” are designed to emphasize the grade-level standards for which mastery is “essential” to continued academic growth.
