Parent & Family Engagement
-
Parents and Family Engagement under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Public Law 114-95 Section 1112, Local Educational Agency Plan; Section 1114, Schoolwide Programs; and Section 1116, Parent and Family Engagement, provides the framework through which families, educators, and communities can work together to improve teaching and learning. The district Supervisor of Curriculum and Federal Programs, Caroline Neel, collaborates with each school building Parent and Family Engagement Facilitator to ensure each component of the law is met and that shared responsibility ensures students learn and meet their educational goals.
