Empower Lives, Ignite Futures: Become a Paraprofessional
Paraprofessionals enhance the learning environment by providing essential support, enabling teachers to focus on delivering effective instruction while ensuring that all students, regardless of their needs, receive the attention and assistance necessary for their academic and personal growth.
All Paraprofessionals are required by law to have one of the following qualifications:
- 60 hours of college credit
- Associate's degree
- Successful completion of the Para Professional Test (Praxis)
These requirements apply to all paraprofessional positions, including but not limited to:
- Media Clerks
- Special education paraprofessionals
- Pre K paraprofessionals
- P.E. paraprofessionals
- ELL/ESL paraprofessionals
- Paraprofessional Interventionists
