Stephanie Freeman Named Director of Career and Technical Education

Stephanie Freeman has been selected as the Director of Career and Technical Education for Fort Smith Public Schools. Ms. Freeman brings more than 27 years of experience in education, including roles in teaching, school counseling, career development, and program coordination. She has served as the district’s Career Development Facilitator since 2010, working closely with students, educators, families, and community partners to expand career awareness and strengthen Career and Technical Education pathways. Ms. Freeman played a key role in developing the Peak Innovation Center and has been a strong advocate for connecting students with meaningful career opportunities and workforce preparation. She holds a master’s degree in School Counseling and Leadership from Arkansas Tech University and is a National Board-Certified educator and a Certified Career Counselor.
