Through programs like the Superintendent’s Star Program and the Board of Education Recognitions, the district honors the hard work, dedication, and contributions of our school community. Our department is proud to support these initiatives, helping foster a culture of excellence and pride within the district.

Superintendent’s Star Program

The Superintendent's Star program recognizes elementary school students who demonstrate exemplary behavior and serve as a role model for their peers. These outstanding students show respect for others and exhibit positive attitudes.

Each month, the Superintendent and a School Board member visit the school to present the award directly in the student's classroom. This allows the student's peers to witness the recognition and hear about the qualities that make the recipient a “star.”

  • Encouraging Role Models: Star recipients are chosen for their commitment to academic success, personal growth, and their positive influence within their school community.
  • Fostering Pride: By publicly honoring students, the program sets a standard of excellence, encouraging others to follow in their footsteps.
