Curriculum Resources
The Year-at-a-Glance documents, which identify the District's Essential Standards for literacy, math, and science for each grade level are linked below. Within the Year-at-a-Glance documents, teachers can find links to evidence of unpacking essential standards and Unit Plans. These documents were created collaboratively with district stakeholders (teachers, instructional specialists, administrators, and curriculum content consultants). They are reviewed and updated each year through a feedback process.

Essential Elements are statements about what students should know and be able to do. The Essential Elements are linked to grade-level expectations. These serve as a bridge between general academic standards and academic expectations for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. They reflect a reduction in depth, breadth, and complexity of those standards. The Essential Elements and the standards are representative of the same learning targets, but reflect different levels of achievement toward those targets. The Essential Elements are alternate achievement standards.
