Whether assisting in one-on-one sessions or supporting group activities, paraprofessionals are key to creating a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience for students at all grade levels.
As a paraprofessional, you’ll help shape the learning environment, empowering students to reach their potential while enabling teachers to focus on delivering effective instruction.
Requirements
To be eligible for paraprofessional positions, candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- 60 hours of college credit
- Associate's degree
- Successful completion of the Para Professional Test (ParaPro)

ParaPro Test
The ParaPro Test is a required exam for individuals pursuing paraprofessional certification in Arkansas. To take the test, contact the Adult Education Center to schedule your exam. The test fee is $85, so be sure to come prepared with payment.

- A passing score is required to become a certified paraprofessional in Arkansas.
