The SRM is a proven, step-by-step process that organizes how students and guardians are reunited during an emergency. It allows our team to verify identities, streamline communication, and reduce chaos in stressful situations.

Reunification may be necessary in situations such as:

• Natural disasters (e.g., tornadoes, floods)
• Security threats or lockdowns
• Fire evacuations
• Other emergencies impacting campus safety

1. Check-In Process: Families are directed to a designated location where guardians check in.
2. Identity Verification: We require photo ID from all guardians to confirm approved contacts listed in our student records.
3. Student Release: Once verification is complete, staff will escort students to their families.
4. Follow-Up Support: Our team provides emotional support and additional resources as needed for students and families.

We coordinate with emergency responders, communicate via district platforms, and provide trained staff to support reunification efforts.

Your role as a guardian is to ensure your emergency contact information is always up to date. Once you are notified, make sure to bring photo identification and follow the instructions provided by school personnel during an emergency.
