School Nurses
Supporting Student Health & Wellness
At Fort Smith Public Schools, our nurses are vital members of the school community who support the health and well-being of every student. Each campus is staffed with a licensed nurse who provides daily care, manages medications, conducts health screenings, and responds to medical needs as they arise. Our nurses also serve as a trusted link between school, home, and healthcare providers. Through collaboration with families, staff, and community partners, the health services team helps ensure that students are healthy, supported, and ready to learn each day.
FSPS Nursing Mission
To build a bridge between school and community in order to make a positive difference in the
health and well-being of our students to believe, belong, and become.

Health Services for Students & Families
The FSPS School Based Health Center (SBHC) is a partnership between Fort Smith Public Schools, Mercy Clinic, and The Guidance Center. It provides convenient, high-quality physical and mental health care on campus.
Common services include immunizations, sports and kindergarten physicals, and general wellness support. We focus on timely care so students can stay healthy, attend school consistently, and thrive both in and out of the classroom.
