• Dr. Christopher Johnson, Principal

    Dr. Christopher Johnson comes to Kimmons with a strong collegiate background.  He earned his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University, Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction and Masters in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. 

    Before becoming an Administrator, Dr. Johnson taught physical education/health and coached football/track at Hamilton Learning Academy and at Little Rock Central High School from 2005 to 2013.  Dr. Johnson also devoted four years to serving as an assistant principal at Jacksonville High School in North Pulaski School District and J.A. Fair High School in Little Rock. He also served as Dean of Students at Hamilton Learning Academy.

    Outside of school, Dr. Johnson enjoys working out, playing tennis, and watching the Razorbacks' football and basketball teams.

    Mrs. Tammy Chase, Assistant Principal

    Tammy Chase began serving as the Assistant Principal at Kimmons Junior High School in 2019.  Ms. Chase has served the Fort Smith Public Schools for 13 years as a classroom teacher, facilitator, and assistant principal.  Most recently, she served as assistant principal for Fairview Elementary.  Ms. Chase earned her BSE and MSE as well as Educational Specialist degrees from Arkansas Tech University.  Ms. Chase's ability to be a compassionate and enthusiastic instructional leader and her experience with Professional Learning Communities make her a valuable asset to Kimmons Junior High.

    Mrs. Joni Wilbanks, Assistant Principal

    Joni Wilbanks is the Assistant Principal at Kimmons Junior High.  Prior to this position she served as a Career and Technical Information teachers at Kimmons.  Before serving at Kimmons she worked as a CTE coordinator for the Western Arkansas Education Cooperative.

    Mrs. Wilbanks holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and her Masters in School Leadership both from Arkansas State University.  She became a National Board Certified teacher in 2015. Mrs. Wilbanks is also a certified Career Development Facilitator.

    Outside of education Mrs. Wilbanks is a business owner. She and her husband own Geno's Pizza of Alma and Geno's Pizza at Central Mall. She lives in Mulberry with her husband Justin and daughter Emma and son Adam.
