Summer Enrichment Opportunities

  • Argument Driven Inquiry STEM Acceleration Camp:

ADI's STEM Acceleration Camps helps students fall in love with science and engineering because they have a chance to develop solutions to meaningful problems rather than just learning about terms and facts. Students are instead building something that will make the world a better place or investigating phenomena in a meaningful way. They also give students more opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills they will need to do well on end-of-course exams, major in a STEM field in college, or pursue a STEM-related career.

During the STEM Acceleration Academy for elementary school (Grades 3-5), students will complete three investigations. Each investigation encourages students to use core ideas and practices from science, engineering, and mathematics to help make sense of investigable phenomena. Students also have a chance to develop fundamental literacy skills during each challenge because they have repeated opportunities to read, write, speak, and listen to others as they develop, test, and refine their solutions to a problem.

During the STEM Acceleration Academy for middle school (Grades 6-8), students will complete two STEM Design Challenges. Each STEM Design Challenge encourages students to use core ideas and practices from science, engineering, and mathematics to help make the world a better place. Students also have a chance to develop fundamental literacy skills during each challenge because they have repeated opportunities to read, write, speak, and listen to others as they develop, test, and refine their solutions to a problem.
