Special Education Extended School Year Services
June 10 - July 3 | 8:00AM - 12:00PM
Fairview Elementary: K-5
Ramsey Middle: 6-12
Extended School Year Services (ESYS) refer to special education and related services that are offered to children with disabilities during the summer months based on the needs of the child, at no cost to the parents. These services are provided beyond the regular school year, and are aimed at helping students maintain or keep critical skills gained during the academic year.
The decision to provide ESYS is made by the IEP committee, which carefully evaluates whether the student meets the eligibility criteria. These criteria are designed to ensure that ESYS is provided to those students who would benefit the most. Students who are approved for ESYS will continue to receive instruction on the IEP goals identified by the committee.
