Bright Start Early Learning Center
  • Bright Start Early Learning Center is available for children ages 3 months to 5 years old.

The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday. The daycare is only available to FSAEC students, and the cost is $10 per family, per day.

All child care teachers receive Child Care Orientation Training and are required to participate in 26 hours of Early Childhood Education each year. Several of our teachers hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials which require 120 hours of training in the Early Childhood field, and those who do not are currently working toward it. Bright Start ELC is licensed by the state of Arkansas and also holds a Quality Accreditation and Better Beginnings Level 4 certificate from the state of Arkansas.

Our center uses a thematic approach to learning, with a new theme being introduced every one to two weeks. Each unit incorporates the Arkansas Early Childhood Frameworks to ensure that benchmarks are met and our children are ready to enter kindergarten.

We also sponsor a comprehensive family literacy program in which the parents and children meet together weekly with a teacher to explore books and activities related to the unit of study so that learning can continue at home. Large group meetings are held each month.

We encourage our adult students to utilize the childcare center and allow the staff to assist them in preparing their children to successfully meet the future.
