Felix Curry Selected as Northside Head Football Coach
Felix Curry has been selected as the Head Football Coach at Northside High School, reporting to the FSPS Athletic Director and Northside High School Principal. With this new assignment, Coach Curry will lead the boys football program at Northside High School. Coach Curry has served as Northside’s Football Defensive Coach and Head Track Coach since 2013.
“I am extremely excited to build on Coach Falleur’s program and am thankful for the support of our football staff and community. I appreciate Dr. Morawski, Coach Beaumont and Dr. Rathbun for trusting me to lead the Grizzlies in this capacity,” said Coach Curry.
“We had lots of interest from coaches across the state and surrounding states for this Head Coach position at Northside High School. Our search committee was tasked with finding not only an outstanding football coach and teacher, but also an incredible leader of young men, and we have found that with Coach Curry,” said FSPS Athletics & Activities Director Michael Beaumont.
Prior to joining the Northside coaching staff, Coach Curry served as a Defensive Backs Coach and Coordinator at Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch, GA, Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, GA, and South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, GA. He also served as Head Football Coach at Glenn Hills High School in Augusta, GA.
Coach Curry holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University in Augusta, GA, a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC, and a Specialist Degree in School Administration from Cambridge College in Augusta, GA.
