Bone Selected to Lead FSPS Curriculum and Instruction
Dr. Tiffany Bone has been selected as the incoming Fort Smith Public Schools Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Bone approaches her responsibilities as a steward and guide in accomplishing a vision of “ensuring that every learner is healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged,” and that “when they leave school they have a plan for earning, and equipped with relevant skills to earn a family sustaining income.”
Superintendent Dr. Terry Morawski said, “We are delighted that Dr. Bone will be joining the FSPS team. She comes to our district with more than 25 years of teaching and administrative experience, and is highly recommended by those she has worked with.”
Dr. Bone writes, “I am both humbled and excited to have been selected to serve as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Fort Smith School District. I am looking forward to this opportunity to serve the students and staff in this capacity, as we work together to make Vision 2023 a reality.”
Currently, Dr. Bone serves as the Assistant Superintendent in the Jacksonville North Pulaski County School District in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She has also served as an assistant superintendent Pine Bluff Schools and as a principal in Bryant Public Schools. While she was completing her doctorate, she worked as a visiting professor and principal coach at Arkansas Tech University. She has both wide ranging and specific experience in curriculum development, educational administration, professional development including the professional learning community processes, data analysis, career and technical education, and strategic planning.
She earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She earned her BSE, MSE and Education Specialist degrees from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. Dr. Bone will join the FSPS Education Team July 1, 2021.
