Elizabeth Love, Matthew Hominick Appointed as Building Leaders
Fort Smith Public Schools has appointed Elizabeth Love as the Principal of Spradling Elementary School and Matthew Hominick as the Director of Belle Point Center. The district has also made additional assistant principal appointments.
Elizabeth Love, Principal of Spradling Elementary
Elizabeth Love will serve as the Principal of Spradling Elementary. Love has served as assistant principal of Morrison and Trusty Elementary Schools since 2019. Prior to her appointment at Spradling, Love served as Title 1 Elementary Specialist and first through fourth grade teacher at Spradling Elementary. Love holds an M.Ed. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Grades P-4, from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to return to the place where I started my career to serve the students, teachers, and families in this new role,” said Love.
Matthew Hominick, Director of Belle Point Center
Matthew Hominick will serve as the Director of Belle Point Center. Hominick has served as an English teacher at Southside High School since 2013. Prior to his appointment at Belle Point, Hominick served as a high school English teacher in Hartford and Pine Bluff, respectively. Hominick is a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Hominick holds a M.S.E. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University and B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
“I am excited to begin this new chapter in my career and look forward to working with the faculty and staff of Belle Point to create a nurturing environment in which every student succeeds,” said Hominick.
FSPS Makes Additional Assistant Principal Appointments
Cedra Flake, Assistant Principal of Cook Elementary
Cedra Flake will serve as the Assistant Principal of Cook Elementary School. Flake has served as a fifth Grade Literacy Teacher at Howard Elementary School since 2016. Flake holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.
Rachael Foster, Assistant Principal of Southside
Rachael Foster will serve as Assistant Principal of Southside High School. Foster has served as a seventh grade teacher at Kimmons Middle School since 2019. Prior to her appointment at Southside, Foster served as a fourth, fifth and sixth grade teacher at Sunnymede Elementary School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Foster holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Grades P-4, from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Donna Jones, Assistant Principal of Ballman/Bonneville
Donna Jones will serve as the Assistant Principal of Ballman and Bonneville Elementary Schools. Jones has served as Title 1 Elementary Specialist at Euper Lane Elementary since 2020. Prior to her appointment at Ballman/Bonneville, Jones served as a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Barling Elementary. Jones holds an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Jennifer Lyon, Assistant Principal of Fairview
Jennifer Lyon will serve as the Assistant Principal of Fairview Elementary School. Lyon has served as a Library Media Specialist at Tilles Elementary School since 2010. Prior to her appointment at Fairview, Lyon served as a kindergarten teacher at Barling Elementary School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Lyon holds an M.S. in Education in Instructional Technology and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University. Lyon also holds an Ed.S. in Information Science and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and will graduate in December 2021 with an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Jason Meharg, Assistant Principal of Northside
Jason Meharg will serve as Assistant Principal of Northside High School. Meharg has served as assistant principal of Chaffin Middle School since 2019. Prior to his appointment at Northside, Meharg served as a JROTC Senior Army Instructor at Northside High School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Meharg holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and an M.A. in Management from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Amanda Ming, Assistant Principal of Park
Amanda Ming will serve as the Assistant Principal of Park Elementary School. Ming has served as an Elementary School Counselor at Cook Elementary School since 2020. Prior to her appointment at Park, Ming served as a sixth grade teacher at Tilles Elementary and a first and fifth grade teacher at Sunnymede Elementary within Fort Smith Public Schools. Ming holds an M.S. in Education in School Counseling and Leadership and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Arkansas Tech University.
Jeff Mosby, Assistant Principal of Southside
Jeff Mosby will serve as an Assistant Principal of Southside High School. Mosby has served as a Technology Integration Specialist since 2009. Prior to his appointment at Southside, Mosby served as ninth grade physical science teacher at Ramsey Middle School within Fort Smith Public Schools. Mosby holds a M.Ed. in Teaching, Leadership and Learning and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Arkansas Tech University.
Meghan Reinhart, Assistant Principal of Northside
Meghan Reinhart will serve as Assistant Principal of Northside High School. Reinhart has served as an English teacher at Northside High School since 2012. Reinhart holds an Ed.S. in Superintendency, an M.S.E. in Educational Leadership, and a B.S. in English Education from Arkansas State University.
