ArcBest makes $1M Investment in Peak Innovation Center
ArcBest is making a $1 million investment in the Peak Innovation Center in Fort Smith.
The career and technology center, which is part of the Fort Smith Public School District’s Vision 2023 Capital Improvement Program, is set to open in fall 2021. The center is designed to be a hub for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) instruction.
“We are excited to make this investment in tomorrow’s workforce and in our community,” ArcBest chairman, president and CEO Judy R. McReynolds said in a statement. “We have a long history of giving back, and it’s a big part of our culture and who we are at ArcBest. I’m very proud we are supporting the Peak Innovation Center and the career pathway opportunities it will provide students.”
Located in the former Hutcheson Shoes building in east Fort Smith, the Peak Innovation Center is expected to provide education programs to 43,000 students from 22 regional school districts.
