FSPS Graduate Selected as Assistant Superintendent of HR
Dr. Christopher Davis has been selected as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Campus Support. Dr. Davis has served as the district’s Supervisor of Human Resources since 2019. With his new assignment, he will oversee all aspects of human resources for the district including athletics and activities functions.
“I am excited to transition into this role within the district and look forward to continuing to serve and provide support to our educators and staff as we begin a new school year,” said Dr. Davis.
“Dr. Davis is an exceptional leader and we are confident in his abilities to lead and serve the 2,000+ employees working within the district,” said Dr. Terry Morawski, Superintendent, Fort Smith Public Schools.
Prior to his role as Supervisor of Human Resources, Dr. Davis served as an assistant principal at Northside High School within Fort Smith Public Schools, middle school principal and high school assistant principal in Huntsville, and band director and music educator in Mountain Home.
Dr. Davis holds a Doctorate of Education in School Leadership from Arkansas Tech University, an M.S. and Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, and a B.M.E. in Music Education from Arkansas Tech University. Davis attended Spradling Elementary School, Kimmons Junior High School and graduated from Northside High School. He and his wife, Sarah (Kesner) Davis have two sons, Landon and Logan.
