Students, staff, administrators, and parents will assemble on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 9:00 am at the Southside High School arena (4100 Gary Street) to celebrate the achievements of several Advanced Placement (AP) students as part of the Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science, Inc. (AAIMS). AAIMS is an affiliate of the National Math and Science Initiative. The program aims to strengthen AP teaching in grades 6-10 in advanced pathway/accelerated mathematics, science, and English, so that students can be best prepared for higher education and/or career. This year, Arkansas Congressman Steve Womack will be in attendance to help present awards and congratulate students.
