Northside High School Senior Receives Legion of Valor

Northside High School senior Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Nha Ho has been awarded the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross from the Legion of Valor of the United States of America. This prestigious award recognizes cadets worldwide who have demonstrated excellence in military, scholastic, and civic affairs.

“I am honored to receive this award. I have always enjoyed the academic challenge of school, but JROTC has challenged me to develop as a person and leader.  I hope this inspires future students to join JROTC. I am thankful to the instructors for always encouraging me to be a better person beyond my own expectations,” said Nha.

Ho is one of 42 in the nation from over 3,000 JROTC programs to receive this award.

JROTC Instructor 1SG(R) Michael D. Colbert said, “I am so proud of Nha and all of the amazing things she has accomplished. Nha embodies the values and spirit all Northside students should strive for. This prestigious award is a testament to the Northside JROTC Grizzly Battalion’s support and dedication to the cadets, the school, and the community.”.
